As I’m watching Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax” with my family, I was hit upside the head by one statement from the movie that forced me to think deeply about each project that we get involved in. (nothing helps you focus like getting hit in the head)

The Lorax Said… ‘It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it can become”

or… “It’s not about the seed, it’s about what that seed will become.”

The translation is… “It’s not about the project, it’s about what that idea will become.”
My further thoughts on the statement…
Laying dormant inside of a single seed lies a vast forest of trees.
Laying dormant inside your ideas and projects lies a vast forest of leadership potential and future success in some endeavor. (the story of Ryan’s well foundation comes to mind where a 6 year old boy decided to raise some money to dig a well on the other side of the world because of bad drinking water conditions…years later, “Ryans Well Foundation” digs millions of dollars worth of wells in other countries. That single idea turned into something truly remarkable because of one young mans actions)
More Thoughts…
Like the seed, you need to give it the right stuff to help it grow. The seed needs nutrient rich soil, water and sunlight. The idea needs ingenuity, courage, persistence and above all, a leader to shine a light for everyone else to see its brilliance.

Every project that our students have done with Projabi are like planting a seed. It’s not about that individual project at all, it’s about what that student does with that project in the future. What will they turn that project into? Wow, I get excited just thinking about this. We’re on a mission!
511 Projects Completed = 511 Seeds planted = who knows!
